Perfect for a family outing. Lots of history with a smattering of farm animals, a very nice restaurant and lots of space to explore. They do weddings, too. Very pretty venue and interesting owner who took the time to share his dream. We will be back!
The Miller spoke to us and some others at length...very interesting. Answered questions and discussed milling and it's history. The site itself is lovely. We learned quote a bit about flour and wheat (bread making is a hobby of ours)... Even if you are not especially interested in flour and bread making, I think this is a worthwhile stop. If you are interested in baking or agricultural history this is really a great stop. Good also if you have small kids..
The grounds are lovely and so well kept. The mill itself is very impressive. Excellent job of restoration and the Millers presentation was a must see! Lunch in the cafe was delicious and all staff are so friendly. We'll be back!
Great day for the kids (5 and 8) they loved the animals and lunch, my husband loved the mill tour and learning about the history. Beautiful location.
Authentic dinner and educational experience! We attended the brisket long table dinner and the food was great! Fresh from the farms around and the beef was excellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed our company during the meal, one of the volunteers at the mill named Florence. We quite enjoyed our dinner conversations with her and then the tour of the grounds which were very interesting and beautiful! There is a great heritage garden up the hill behind the mill with fantastic views- dont miss it. The proprietor is a very kind and knowledgeable man and was excited to talk about our experience here and our businesses back home. Cant wait to come back!
